(Dublin, Ohio) October 5th 2010 The 2010 American Le Mans Series wrapped up in fine fashion this past weekend in Braselton, Georgia with the completion of the 13th annual Petit Le Mans. It was a true test of man and machine as a field of 45 extraordinary sports cars raced head to head pushing at the limit for 10 hours around the 2.5 mile circuit. After driving over 5 ½ hours behind the wheel, Intersport Racing driver Kyle Marcelli, along with nd team mates Chapman and David Ducote, took 2 place in the LMPC class.

Following Marcelli's stellar performance in qualifying, putting the #89 Intersport Racing entry third in class only three tenths off the pole position, Marcelli was then opted by the team to start the 10 hour race. The green flag was waved under sunny cool conditions Saturday morning. Taking the race lead early, Marcelli opened up a fifty second gap to second place in his first 2 hour stint before handing it off to team-mate David Ducote. David then put in two hours behind the wheel before Chapman Ducote strapped in. Both did excellent job maintaining good track position. As Chapman finished his 2 hour stint, the car needed a short visit behind the wall to fix a minor problem. After a short time in the pits, Intersport Racings #89 LMPC was back in the race with Kyle Marcelli behind the wheel to finish up the last 3 plus hours. As the sun set, the racing action didn't let up one bit, the level of aggressiveness was just as high and the lap times were just as quick. Pushing lap after lap, the checkered flag was displayed and Marcelli crossed the stripe with the team cheering over the radio as they celebrated taking 2nd place in what is well known as one of the world's toughest sports car event.

"I'm very happy to give Intersport Racing a long overdue and well deserved 2nd place podium finish. The team has worked so hard over the 2010 season and it was nice to end on such a good note. Both David and Chapman did a great job keeping the car out of trouble and running consistent laps. Now the behind the scenes business side of the sport starts and I'm very excited for 2011." Said Kyle

"I am overwhelmed with Kyle's performance as a complete racer. His maturity in and out of the race car, personal preparation, and his ability to set up a car, speak volumes of his level of maturity and desire to succeed. I consider myself lucky to have a team-mate with so many positive attributes." Said Chapman Ducote

"Without testing and poor weather preventing much practice, we knew we had to run consistently and without any mistakes to make the podium. The Intersport team did a great job on strategy and we were fortunate in avoiding any incidents on a very busy track. Kyle was a workhorse, running over a 3 hour stint into the night and holding our position. Sharing the podium with Kyle and my brother, Chapman, was a highlight that I hope we can repeat in the future". Said David Ducote

"I'm delighted to have finished the season with a Podium. Kyle, David and Chapman did a great job in keeping consistent lap times throughout the race and keeping out of trouble. Kyle did a fantastic job driving for 3 hours at the end of the race. It was a pleasure work with all 3 drivers and I hope to continue the relationship in the future. The Intersport team did a great job in the pits and despite going behind the wall to fix a minor problem we finished the race a strong 2nd place". Said Team Manager Martin Dixon

In the meantime, Kyle would like to sincerely thank Intersport Racing and his partners Lafarge, DynaPep Energy, Rite Aid Pharmacy, Simcoe Building Center, Barrie Trim & Mouldings, River Rock Financial, Merchant Services LTD, GP Masonry & Landscaping Supplies, Alpinestars USA, Braille Battery, SimpleFuelTax.com, Century Craft Custom Home Builders, Spherion Staffing Solutions, Solutions Plus, Nick Majors and Al Beacock for their continued support.
