The No. 23 Alex Job Racing McKenna/mail2web.com Porsche 911 GT3 RS drivers are feeling the pain of their colds during their first five hours at Petit Le Mans. Both Lucas Luhr and Sascha Maassen fell ill earlier this week and despite treatments from the Porsche doctor, weren't able to shake their illness before getting into their racing machine this morning. Each driver is taking it easy after his stint, resting up for the next share of driving duties.

No. 24 drivers Jorg Bergmeister, Timo Bernhard and Romain Dumas experienced some drama approximately 25 minutes into the 1,000-mile race. A GTS Ferrari made contact with the Porsche racing machine with Timo Bernhard behind the wheel, causing Bernhard to loose his passenger side door. During a full course yellow, the 24 crew was able to replace the door. The trio lost time and laps and went out in 11th position in class.

Halfway into the endurance race the No. 23 car pitted due to a puncture in the left rear tire, loosing two positions to third position in class.

Jorg Bergmeister, No. 24 mail2web.com Alex Job Racing Porsche GT3 RS:

"This is the first luck we've had in a while. It's a long race and we're not done yet, but I hope we can continue to be first position. I will drive next and hope to keep everything going the way it is now. We need to keep ahead of the Ferrari for points because it's so close right now."

Romain Dumas, No. 24 mail2web.com Alex Job Racing Porsche GT3 RS:

"I've driven my first stint and everything was ok. The car was feeling good, even with the door incident earlier, everything feels quite solid. I am anticipating my next stint to get into a rhythm and keep everything the way it has been going."

Sascha Maassen, No. 23 mail2web.com Alex Job Racing Porsche GT3 RS:

"This was a tough day for me so far. Usually I can focus on the car and get into a rhythm, but it's been difficult today. Lucas has driven more than I today and he's feeling just as bad as I am. I needed to empty my nose when I got out of the car. I guess Lucas and I should have stayed further away from one another because I'm sure I got his cold."
