Auberlen, Turner, and Selldorff determined to keep championship lead.

Road America, Elkhart Lake, WI - 08/22/2003 - Bill Auberlen is leading the Speed Touring Car Championship and teammate Will Turner is in fourth place as the Turner Motorsport/H&R Springs BMW team kicks off the Road America round of the Championship. With just four races left in the season the entire team is determined to keep the momentum going. Auberlen has a podium finish and two wins in the last three races.

Auberlen has a total of three wins this year: two coming within the last three races and the first at the season-opener at Sebring. He finished in second place at the last race at Mid Ohio. Auberlen's lead in the Touring Car Championship is 60 points over second place. He expects to finish well up in the field at Road America this weekend but admits that the extra weight he is carrying will open up more opportunities for his competitors.

Will Turner has been consistently and quietly moving up the Championship standings in the last two races. Two top ten finishes have given him 112 points on the year - tied for fourth place and only nine back from second. Road America was the locale for his first podium finish six years ago so he is expecting another such solid result this weekend behind the wheel of his Turner Motorsport/H&R Springs BMW 325i.

Practice sessions are scheduled for Friday with qualifying and the race (round 7) scheduled for Saturday morning and afternoon, respectively. All three Turner Motorsport drivers have showed well in today's first practice session. Race time is 4:35pm Central Time (5:35pm Eastern) on Saturday. Live Timing & Scoring is available for all of the Speed Touring Car sessions at www.world-challenge.com. And regular updates and pictures, as well as team information, can be seen at www.tmsracing.com.

Program note: The Speed Channel will broadcast the Mid Ohio round of the Touring Car Championship tonight at 9pm Eastern. Lots of action as the Championship race heats up - don't miss it!
