8.15.09 Elkhart Lake, WI - Farnbacher Loles secured a third row starting position for Round 7 of the American Le Mans Series race at Road America amongst a very strong starting grid. Wolf Henzler of Nurtingen, Germany piloted the #87 Farnbacher Loles Racing/Marquis Jet/IPC Systems Porsche 911 GT3 RSR around the cloud covered 4.048 mile road course with a lap time of 2:07.740. That time will have the Porsche Factory Driver, and co-driver Bryce Miller of Summit, NJ, starting from the sixth position, yet less than .8 of a second off the pole. For the first time in the series, BMW swept the front row starting spots. Also showing considerable speed, the new Corvette GT2 entries took the fourth and fifth spots.

Farnbacher Loles Team principal, Gregory Loles, knows that strategy will be a key element in tomorrow's race. "Road America is an incredibly fast track with long sweeping corners so it'll be vital that our Porsche is set up for top speed," Loles said. "However, because the track is so large, just a little over 4 miles, it will also be necessary that our pit strategy and fuel mileage is perfect so that we can maintain hard earned track position."
