EXTREME SPEED MOTORSPORTS FINISHES IN 5th AND 8th POSITION AT ROAD AMERICA
First-Ever Top-5 Finish for 02 Ferrari; No.01 Car Led GT Class Halfway Through Race

Elkhart Lake, WI /// August 22, 2010 /// For the first time this season in the American Le Mans Series Presented by Tequila Patrón, the Extreme Speed Motorsports 02 Ferrari F430 GT finished a race in the top-5. The impressive come-from-behind 5th place GT class finish capped a great day of racing for the 02 Ed Brown/Guy Cosmo team, which started the race in the 12th position today at Wisconsins scenic Road America.

"We predicted this would be a good track for Ed and I," said Guy Cosmo after the race. "Ed was in the car first and did a fantastic job, and kept a good pace. We caught the yellows right, had great pit stops, and our driver change was awesome. We definitely battled some of the best in the series, and even though we didnt win, I am very happy with 5th!"

Added Ed Brown: "It was a great day for us out there! My goal was to keep the car in the lead lap, and then Cosmo did a fantastic job bringing it in for 5th position. Its a huge win for us!"

The ESM 01 Ferrari team of Johannes van Overbeek and team owner Scott Sharp finished the 66-lap, 2-hour 45-minute race in 8th place today, after leading the fiercely competitive GT class halfway through the race.

The Extreme Speed Motorsports Ferraris are running on cellulosic E85R biofuel. The switch to alternative fuels not only helps the performance of the cars, its also in line with the American Le Mans Series global leadership of Green Racing.

A total of 66 drivers battled it out in todays race, the 9th time that the American Les Mans Series has competed at Wisconsins historic Road America, 60 miles north of Milwaukee. The 4.048- mile, 14-turn road course is a favorite of Series competitors given its long straights, high speeds and elevation changes.

Next weekend the American Le Mans Series Presented by Tequila Patrón heads North to Canada for the Mobil 1 Grand Prix of Mosport in Bowmanville, Ontario.
