DE FERRAN AND PAGENAUD QUALIFY SEVENTH FOR ROAD AMERICA

ELKHART LAKE, WI. (8 August, 2008) -- The de Ferran Motorsports combination of Gil de Ferran and Simon Pagenaud will start seventh in tomorrow's Generac 500 at Road America - the longest American Le Mans Series event the new team has contested in its debut season.

The team were fourth and sixth fastest in today's two practice sessions but de Ferran and the team were unable to improve in qualifying - struggling to perfect the balance on the Panasonic-sponsored Acura ARX01-b.

Tomorrow's four hour race will kick off at 4.00pm with the event telecast on a tape delayed basis on SPEED Channel in the US and Motors TV in Europe.

GIL DE FERRAN
"Today wasn't our best qualifying session because we struggled a little to get the right balance over the past couple of days. At a place like Road America, if you are off just slightly it all adds up because there are a lot of corners and it is a very long track.

"We'll work hard overnight and see if we can improve the balance for the race. It is a long day tomorrow and I suppose out of any of the races we have done so far, qualifying here is probably not as important. Obviously however, we still want to perform well as a matter of pride. I am slightly disappointed we didn't get it quite right."

SIMON PAGENAUD
"We're a little bit disappointed because the balance is not quite right, but this is a fantastic track to drive and I've had a lot of fun out there today in the Acura ARX-01b - certainly every bit as much fun as the Champ Car or Atlantic car.

"I still think we should be in good shape for the race and I'm confident we can make our way up through the pack.

"Being a four hour race, the first part of the day will probably be about conservation and looking after the tires.

"We'll continue to work on the car and make sure we are in good shape for the end of the race - I'm actually really looking forward to it."
