Sebring 12 Hours

REBELLION RACING IS LOOKING FOR STRONG RESULT

For its debut at the 12 hours of Sebring, REBELLION Racing's #12 Lola-Toyota has qualified in 8th position on the grid for Saturday's race.

After comming back to the team's truck, Neel Jani said : "I am happy with the qualifying. We were on a kind of ''defensive mode'' in terms of tyres, and set-up. We could have challenged to be the fastest petrol car on the grid, if we had chosen a more agressive strategy. The car is set up for the race, great to drive and comfortable. I am really happy with the collaboration with the TMG engineers, they are really focused with us on getting the best result."

Over the past few days, during several free practice sessions, the team and the drivers have familiarised themselves with the characteristics of Florida's finest track, the team is looking forward to a strong start in the opening round of both the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup and the American Le Mans Series.

The team is pleased with the pace they have shown during the week.

Bart Hayden REBELLION Racing Team manager : " We've run without any major issues all week, it's very positive. The new Toyota engine showed good reliability during our test at Paul Ricard in France last week-end and here in more stressed conditions with the heat and the nature of the track, we are really pleased. The guys have been working solidly over the past nine days and even before that they had had many late nights to get ready for these early events.

The new members of the team have slotted in well and are adding valuable contributions. We are all looking for a good result to start the season. We are still in a learning period with the car, it was not possible to go testing during the winter. The race will be a big test for the car and the brand new Toyota engine, the ideal conditions to simulate the Le Mans 24 ! Despite having spare engines here, we have elected not to change the engine for the race and to use the one that has been in the car since last Monday, that way we can prove the endurance early in the season. "

59th 12 Hours of Sebring warm up is scheduled tomorrow from 08:00 to 08:25. Race will start at10:30.
