INTERSPORT DUO MAKES ALMS HISTORY WITH VICTORY

PORTLAND, Ore. (July 23, 2006) -- Liz Halliday made history as she and co-driver Clint Field won the P2 class in the American Le Mans Series race at Portland International Raceway.

Halliday became the winningest driver in ALMS history, collecting the sixth victory of her career. She surpassed Milka Duno with the victory. Both Duno and Halliday collected the majority of their ALMS wins while racing on Goodyear tires. Halliday and Field use Goodyear tires on their Intersport Racing Lola B05/40 AER.

Halliday and Field finished first in class for the third time this season and extended their lead in the P2 drivers championship standings. Their earlier wins came in the 12 Hours of Sebring and the Houston Grand Prix.

Goodyear has long been the tire of choice in P2, winning the most championships in the history of the class. The class has formerly been known as LMP 675 and LMP2. Goodyear won the 2005 Tire Manufacturer championship in P2 as Field won the driving championship.

Field and Halliday hold a slender five-point lead over the field with four races remaining in the ALMS season.
