ALFRED KARCHER GMBH & Co. KG JOINS PORSCHE MOTORSPORT AS OFFICIAL FACTORY SPONSOR OF PENSKE PORSCHE RS SPYDERS

WEISSACH, Germany -- July 6 -- Porsche Motorsport has announced that Alfred Karcher GMBH & Co.KG, of Winnenden, Germany, has signed as an official partner of the Porsche Penske RS Spyder program in the American Le Mans Series.

Karcher, employing 6,540 workers in 41 countries with 2006 sales of 6.07 million units producing 1.254 billion Euros of revenue, is one of the world's largest manufacturers of cleaning equipment, with a comprehensive product line for home consumer, commercial and industrial applications.

North America is an important growth market for Karcher. The family-owned company is producing also in the US since 1989 and today disposes of an area-wide dealer network. Since 2004 C-Tech Industries, the American market leader at commercial high-pressure cleaners, belongs to Karcher. The 2006 acquisition of Castle Rock Industries (today Karcher Floor Care, Inc.), the largest U.S. supplier of commercial carpet cleaning units, has positioned Karcher as the market leader in commercial cleaning equipment in North America. The company plans to use its new sponsorship to strengthen its North American business by using American Le Mans Series race events for customer relationship management and graphic tie-ins for point of purchase materials.

Karcher's identification now appears on the Penske Porsche RS Spyders on the rear wing, the sides of the front intake, the outside mirrors and the engine cover.

"We are pleased that Karcher perceives the value we have found in using this very popular and successful racing effort to promote their products and services to current and potential customers," said Dr. Frank Steffen-Walliser, head of Motorsports Strategy and Business Development for Porsche AG.

Karcher makes pressure washers, vacuums, steam cleaners, sweepers, scrubber driers, dry ice blasters, car wash systems, drinking water and waste water treatment plants and cleaning agents, enabling it to offer package solutions for a wide range of cleaning tasks. The principal customers for Karcher equipment are in the automotive segment, the building cleaning trade, the hotel and catering industry, farming, local governments, trade and industry and private households.
