Panoz Motor Sports GT LM 2005 Test Program Kicks Into Gear
Braselton, Ga. (October 28, 2004) - Following hard on the heels of a trouble-free run earlier this month at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca's tough day-night, four-hour enduro, Panoz Motor Sports began its "winter" test program here at Road Atlanta last Tuesday. Team driver Gunnar Jeannette took the Panoz Esperante GT LM car #50 out for its first post-season test.
"We're just starting our testing and development preparations for a winning season in 2005 and beyond. Our goal is to become an economical and successful American-based alternative to Porsche and Ferrari in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS)", said team General Manager, Ed Triolo.
"All the drivers contributed greatly to our ongoing development and we're quite pleased with the progress made especially toward the season's end. We're grateful for Pirelli's developmental support along the way. Since our Mid-Ohio debut, the great fan reaction and support to the Panoz racing marque have gratified the entire team. The fan response to this throaty sounding, front-engine, and American-made sports car has been phenomenal. We're looking forward to keeping everyone posted on our road to Sebring '05 and beyond."
