THORNHILL, ON (August 28, 2006) - Toronto's Nik Antropov, Jeff O'Neill and Alex Ponikarovsky have confirmed they'll play in Tuesday's (August 29) Mosport-Pavilion Pro Charity Hockey Challenge, along with more than a dozen other pro and retired players.

They'll be joined by Canadian race car drivers Ron Fellows, John Graham and Scott Maxwell, who are competing in the American Le Mans Series race at this weekend's Mobil 1 presents The Labour Day Grand Prix of Mosport.

Other confirmed players include Anders Eriksson (Columbus), Bryan Muir (Washington), Allan Rourke (NY Islanders), Anthony Stewart (Florida), Igor Ulanov (Edmonton), Igor Korolev and Jim Thomson.

The puck drops at 7:00 pm and ticket prices are $10 for adults and teens and $5 for children 12 and under. They can be purchased in advance from the Pavilion Ice Area office and at the gate while quantities last.

Proceeds will go to Shoot For A Cure, a joint campaign of the American and Canadian Spinal Research Organizations which raises funds for spinal cord research and the Community Alliance for York Region Education's (CAYRE) Put The Brakes on Bullying program.

Presented by Mobil 1, the Labour Day Grand Prix of Mosport is the only Canadian stop for the American Le Mans Series, North America's premier sports cars championship.

The Pavilion is located at 130 Rocco Parkway (off of Dufferin St., just south of Hwy 407) in Thornhill, ON. For tickets and information, contact the Pavilion Ice Area at (905) 763-8000.
