Two of My Favourite Pastimes
You might ask what Marino likes to do in any spare time he has when he's not testing or competing on a race track somewhere in the world. Well, the short answer is he doesn't stray very far!!
Like so many other racing drivers, Marino doesn't have to be on 4 wheels, 2 will do nicely! As exhibited when Marino recently took delivery of his current pride and joy the new 2009 KTM 990 Supermoto R.
On collecting his new motorcycle Marino commented "My first impressions of the bike are that it's just mega and has been well worth the wait. It's the perfect bike for me as it has such great focus on back roads, but is just as much "at home" in the city, and living in London as I currently do it's important for me to have both. The noise from the Titanium Akro's is just outstanding, and I arrive after every trip with just the biggest smile on my face!"
Another deep rooted passion Marino enjoys is his love of historic cars, so whenever the chance arises you will find him at a race circuit either spectating, or, given the opportunity, competing behind the wheel. Probably the greatest venue for anyone to enjoy such an array of historic and up-to-date splendour is at the famous Goodwood estate where in July each year the Festival of Speed is celebrated in all it's glory.
This year Marino drove an array of cars up the famous hill, the Ferrari 250 GTO, the Alfa 8C and the Harrods McLaren F1 GTR. However, aside from the super cars, Marino also had an opportunity to complete some demonstration runs, one being for the manufacturer of his current motorcycle, KTM, in the new KTM X-Bow.
