Bill Sweedler (Westport, Conn.) and Townsend Bell (San Luis Obispo, Calif.), together with the AJR team, are introducing the Evora GT to the ALMS North American circuits. The baseline of the car is strong, but adapting it to unique circuits like the four-mile, 14 turn rolling road course located 30-minutes north of Milwaukee in the limited race weekend practice time is a development challenge.

"Road America is one of my favorite tracks on the ALMS schedule," Sweedler said. "The locals are die hard road racing fans with a facility that is world class. Where else in North America can you get top gear three times in one lap! Our AJR Lotus GT should be awesome entering the Carrousel, close to flat in the kink (hang on), and finally down through the braking zone into Canada corner."

Bell has an open-wheel race at the Road America under his belt from his Skip Barber Dodge Pro Series days.

"Road America is in my top three favorite tracks in the U.S. for sure," Bell said. "I raced there back in the Barber Dodge Pro Series. With that car, you were flat-out from the exit of Turn Eight all the way to the entry of Turn Ten or Canada Corner. In the Lotus, we will see if that is the same approach to that section. I love the fast Carrousel just after Turn Eight. It is fast and a little off camber, a real test of the car's set-up. I hope to make some Road America memories this weekend to cancel out the one I have with Willy T. Ribbs at Siebkens."

Alex Job, team principal, will have the work cut out for his team this weekend.

"Road America is all about speed, and high-speed aero influenced handling," Job said. "That goes back to high-speed aero, which is where we have not been yet in our development program with the Lotus. This is one of those tracks we need to get through on the way to Baltimore where the playing field will be a little more level for our Evora GT.
