MOWLEM TO START SEVENTH FOR CORSA MOTORSPORTS IN ALMS GT2

Corsa Motorsports' No. 48 Ferrari F430 GT will start seventh in the GT2 class of the American Le Mans Series at Long Beach Grand Prix Saturday. After being struck during the morning practice session, the team recovered well and Johnny Mowlem posted the team's fastest lap of the weekend with a 1:21.396 during the afternoon qualifying session.

"I am reasonably pleased with seventh; as it's a step forward from where we qualified at St. Petersburg [qualified eighth], and also we are now within one second of the lead Risi Ferrari, which given the learning curve we are on as a team and on the Dunlop tire, is very pleasing. Corsa Motorsports has now moved itself into the front running hunt for consistent top-5 finishes on pace alone, and I'm delighted for team owner Steve Pruitt and the entire team who have worked so hard to get us here. The rest of the season now holds a lot of promise as we still have a lot more developments to come and we haven't even tested yet other than at a race weekend. Gunnar [Jeannette] and I will do out best to put together a solid race on Saturday and we hope to bring the team another strong result."
