J3 Racing Looking for Third Podium of Season at Lime Rock

Lime Rock, Connecticut -- J3 Racing drivers Justin Jackson and Tim Sugden will be looking to drive their number 79/J3 Racing/Porsche 911 RSR to another podium finish in GT2 in round four of the American Le Mans Series race to be run at Lime Rock Park on Monday.

The Buford, Georgia based team have posted podium finishes with a second place run at Sebring and a third place at Mid-Ohio. In 2004, Lime Rock was the site of the teams best finish with a fourth place run. "Last year we lead half of the race,' said Justin Jackson. "We have a good setup for the track and with the tight racing line there is always a good amount of caution periods, so we will have to be on top of our strategy. Our crew understands this track and how to setup the car here and we have a lot of momentum going this year."

In today's practice session, the J3 boys paced most of the practice running at the top of the time sheet before being eclipsed by the factory team in the waning moments of the session. "We unloaded fast right off of the truck," said Sugden. "The Pirellis really seem to like this circuit. We did well here last year on the basis of some excellent pit strategy; if we can combine that with some speed we may have a great weekend."

J3 has all three of its drivers currently in the top ten in GT2 driver points. Tim Sugden is in third with Nic Jonsson in sixth and Justin Jackson in ninth.

The race at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut will be televised live on the Speed Channel at 3:00 p.m. on July 4th.
