SERIES TEAMS, MANUFACTURERS START THE GIVING SEASON EARLY
American Le Mans Series competitors, manufacturers and supporters have helped put together one of the largest collections of racing memorabilia, merchandise and experiences as part of the second annual Le Petit Elegance.
From 3 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, the American Le Mans Series and Panoz Motor Sports Group in conjunction with the Emory Department of Surgery will hold a benefit auction in one of Road Atlanta's hilltop chalets to raise funds for Emory's breast cancer research program. More than 70 unique items have been donated.
Anyone wishing to place a pre-event bid can do so by visiting Americanlemans.com and clicking on the Le Petit Elegance tab. All pre-bids will cease at noon ET, September 26. The top five bidders will be contacted to allow them to participate via phone the night of September 28th.
The greater-Atlanta communities have embraced the event and have contributed non-racing items that are up for auction as well including Lunch with Washington D.C journalist Kitty Kelly, and Dragon House Pearls South Seas Pearl earrings.

Petit Le Mans powered by the Totally New MAZDA6 is the 10th round of the 2008 American Le Mans Series. The 1,000-mile/10-hour race is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. Saturday, October 4 from Road Atlanta in Braselton, Ga. SPEED will televise the race live with XM Satellite Radio airing live race coverage throughout the day on Channel 166. Live coverage from American Le Mans Radio will be available at americanlemans.com, which also will feature IMSA's Live Timing & Scoring.
