GT Class-- No. 66 and 67
Challenging Saturday morning.
The No. 66 car lost a cylinder going into turn six, consequently, the engine will be replaced. The crew will try to get the new engine ready for the next practice session. Brian Cunningham was behind the wheel.
No. 67 is having its own set of issues to work through. There is a severe rear oversteer issue that needs to be worked through.
"Going from Grand-Am one weekend to ALMS the next and setting up the car differently for each series is proving to be tough. It seems like the first two days of each race weekend we're going through major setup changes. We're hoping to get the new engine ready, worst case scenario is that we'll only be able to go out for part of the next session before we go out for qualifying this afternoon."
"The second I heard the flutter, I knew we had lost that cylinder. The engine was due for a rebuild, though I wish we could have held out until Sunday evening. We're going to try for the next practice."

"The car doesn't feel as good as yesterday, we have some oversteer issues to work with. I am feeling behind the eight ball on learning the track, though I really like it a lot. It has a lot of complexities and hidden secrets that I still have to learn. Then we can start making our way up the list, so to speak."
"I'm not feeling great about this session, but I know we'll work through what we need to. Being from the area, I've driven this track a lot and feel confident. We just need to deal with the oversteer."
