Ferrari Wins GTS Category In the GTS category, the Michelin-shod Ferrari 550 Maranello of Tomas Enge took the lead on the first lap; he and co-driver Peter Kox exchanged the lead twice mid-race with teammates Jan Magnussen and David Brabham before going on to score the victory, the second consecutive win for the Prodrive Ferrari team in 2003. Magnussen and Brabham finished second ahead of the Goodyear-shod Corvette of Ron Fellows and Johnny O'Connell. Prodrive Ferrari won last year's Laguna Seca event as well.
Porsche Wins Again in GT; Luhr and Maassen Clinch Championship The Michelin-fitted Porsche GT3 RS driven by Lucas Luhr and Sascha Maassen scored their fourth win of the season and clinched the GT Driver's Championship. The all-Michelin podium was rounded out with Ralf Kelleners and Anthony Lazzaro in a Ferrari 360 Modena and Johnny Mowlem and Craig Stanton in a White Lightning/Peterson Porsche.
