Suwanee, Georgia (November 24, 2003) - For J3 Racing, based in Suwanee, Georgia, the 2003 season was a learning experience as the team finished 11th in the final ALMS GT Class point's standings out of 21 teams.
The J3 Racing team will return to the American LeMans Series in 2004 with a new Porsche 911 GT3RSR that should be delivered from the factory in December, which has the team anxiously awaiting its arrival.
Also for the 2004 season, the J3 Racing team will be moved into its new state-of-the-art racing facility close to Road Atlanta. The team will also campaign a second Porsche 911 GT3RSR for as yet-to-be-determined drivers. That second car will be the #79 car that the team campaigned in 2003.
"We are very excited about next year and competing for the 2004 GT Championship," said Jaye Jackson, owner of J3 Racing. Added Jaye, "The new car should be more competitive than this year's car and we hope to build on the chemistry that we established in 2003 between our crew and drivers."
Jaye Jackson further added, "I want to personally thank Don Panoz and all his staff at the American LeMans Series for making the series what it is today and for providing sports car racers the chance to compete at great facilities and the fans an opportunity to get behind the scenes at each event."
J3 Racing is actively seeking primary and associate sponsorship partners for the 2004 season. For a 2004 ALMS sponsorship proposal please contact Alan Vordermeier, Jr. at Performance 1 Enterprises. Alan can be reached at (704) 782-4800.
