Oliver Completes London Marathon in Personal Best time

Corvette Racing's ALMS and Le Mans champion, Oliver Gavin, completed the London Marathon yesterday in a time of 3 hours 9 minutes & 31 seconds. He just missed his target time of 3 hours, but with training having been curtailed a little recently he was still delighted with the result. He has raised £1671 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust to date and would like to thank everyone who has generously sponsored him for this really worthwhile cause. If you haven't already done so there is still time to donate at www.justgiving.com/olivergavin.

The conditions were reasonably favorable, cool but with the odd shower of rain. Oliver still feels he can reach his target time, but just needs a few more races under his belt. "Maybe next year," he says.

With sore legs, he has today left for California for the next round of the American Le Mans Series at Long Beach on Saturday. This is the second consecutive street race, and he and Olivier Beretta are hoping to repeat their recent GT1 win around the streets of St Petersburg.
