Flying Lizard Announces Two 2005 Team Sponsors
February 1, 2005-SONOMA, Calif.--Flying Lizard Motorsports announced today two sponsor partners for the 2005 racing season. Leading technology companies eSilicon and ShoreTel will partner with Flying Lizard to sponsor the team's Porsches, including the No. 44 and No. 45 Porsches which will compete in the American Le Mans Series. Both companies are returning sponsors from the 2004 season.
eSilicon CEO Jack Harding said, "Being part of the Flying Lizard program will be a large part of our marketing initiatives for 2005. There are some strong parallels between being a leading race team and being a leader in the technology industry: you need perseverance, the highest skill, and probably most importantly, teamwork. And a day at the races is the perfect venue for us to offer our customers and employees a thank you for their investment in eSilicon."
"Sponsoring a sports car team like Flying Lizard is a unique opportunity to promote our company and our brand worldwide. We renewed our partnership with the Lizards this year in part to gain the broad visibility to the millions of fans worldwide who tune in to races on T.V. and at the racetrack. Working with the Lizards will also give us a perfect foundation for our reseller marketing and incentive programs," said Steve Timmerman, ShoreTel VP of Marketing.
