Audi R15 TDI finishes third at Le Mans debut

Le Mans: Eleven starts, eleven times in succession on the winner's podium: Audi continued its impressive series of podium results in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. After taking three consecutive victories Audi Sport Team Joest had to settle for third position on this occasion in probably the world's toughest endurance race. Last year's winners Dindo Capello, Tom Kristensen and Allan McNish finished third at the Le Mans debut of the new Audi R15 TDI. Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Alexandre Premat were left in a hopeless position because the high-pressure injection pump had to be changed. The third Audi R15 TDI, driven by Lucas Luhr, Mike Rockenfeller and Marco Werner, retired due to an accident.
