Darren Law Selected for Alex Job Racing ALMS Seat

Long time Porsche endurance driver Darren Law has been selected by Alex Job Racing to drive their number 24/Bell Microproducts/ProVest/Porsche 911 GT3 RSR for four of the last five events on the 2005 ALMS schedule. Law, of Phoenix, Arizona who has been a Porsche GT driver of note for several years, will be teamed with Ian Baas of Noblesville, Indiana. Law's first event with the Alex Job Racing team will be this weekend at the Portland Grand Prix.

Law, who has won previous championships in Porsche GT cars, and who drove last year in the ALMS, is well acquainted with the 911 platform, and is eager to work with such a high caliber team.

"Alex runs a first class program," remarked Law. "He prepares some of the best Porsches anywhere, and his team is always in contention for the win. I am honored that AJR has considered me, and I'm very excited to get to the task of driving."

It will be a very busy upcoming weekend for Law, as he will be flying between Portland and Birmingham during the weekend.

The Portland Grand Prix marks the 6th round of the 2005 American Le Mans Series season, and is scheduled for Saturday, July 30. The 2 hour 45 minute endurance contest will be broadcast live on the SPEED channel from 8 PM. 11 PM EDT.
