Guy Cosmo Doing Double Duty for Lone Star Grand Prix of Houston & GAINSCO Grand Prix at Phoenix

DETROIT (May 10, 2006) Life in the fast lane will take on a new meaning this weekend for Guy Cosmo, driver of the B-K Motorsports Mazda LMP2 car in the American Le Mans Series. Guy will also continue with his role in the #19 Playboy Racing Uniden Daytona Prototype, substituting for injured driver Memo Gidley, in the Grand Am Series. The American Le Mans Series is racing Friday night under the lights with the inaugural running of the Lone Star Grand Prix of Houston. The Grand Am Series will run the GAINSCO Grand Prix under the lights Saturday night at Phoenix International Raceway.

"I'm very excited about reuniting with B-K Motorsports and getting back behind the wheel of our Mazda LMP2 car," said Guy Cosmo, "As well, I'm looking forward to capitalizing on the momentum Michael McDowell and I have with Playboy Racing in our Ford Crawford Daytona Prototype." I will test all day Thursday with the Playboy/Uniden/Palms team in Phoenix, then catch a plane to Houston to learn the new street circuit and drive with Jamie Bach and B-K Motorsports in the American Le Mans Series race on Friday night. I'll then head back to Phoenix Saturday morning to compete in the GAINSCO Grand Prix Saturday night. It's going to be a very busy weekend, but I'm looking forward to the challenge."

"This will only be our second event of the season in American Le Mans," added Cosmo. "With the new Kumho tire package and a new sponsor on board, Houston is an important event for the B-K Motorsports/ Mazda program. There's just something special about our Mazda three-rotor and Jamie and I are excited about running it on the streets of Houston and under the lights. We have a lot of positive things happening this season and I really appreciate the team's support in helping me run both Houston and the Grand Am Phoenix event."

On the Grand Am side of things, the No.19 Playboy/Uniden/Palms Ford-Powered Crawford Daytona Prototype team has one thing in mind, taking over the points lead. The team currently sits second in the Rolex Series Team Points Standings, just one point from taking over the top position.

The team's regular driver, Memo Gidley, will be there to support the team, anxiously awaiting his return to the cockpit of the No.19 machine. Meanwhile, Guy Cosmo will continue to fill in for Gidley as they close in on the points lead.

"We're going to see some close and intense racing at Phoenix," said Cosmo. "There is great chemistry on this team and we can count on Michael McDowell for a great result in the qualifying race. It's going to be a very busy weekend for me, but I'm confident we'll come out of Phoenix leading the points. We've racked up enough top-four finishes and we're ready for our next win!"

Guy Cosmo's extensive background with open-wheel formula cars and sports prototypes has earned him a reputation as one of the most successful and versatile young racing drivers in North America. The 2005 American Le Mans Series Rookie of the Year ranks among the top- level road racers in the world. He has earned overall racing titles and major successes in many disciplines including karting, Formula Ford, Formula 2000, Star Mazda, Toyota Atlantic, Grand American and American Le Mans.
