Justin Bell has been dropped from the GM Chevrolet Corvette team after a single season of racing. Chris Kneifel will join Ron Fellows in the lead car, and Paul Edwards joins the line-up for the long distance events. Edwards, a young American, has competed in the Palmer Audi single seater series. Chevrolet will continue to supply Corvettes and Camaros to Bell's racing school in Florida.

Chevrolet's full line-up will include Fellows, Kneifel, Andy Pilgrim, Kelly Collins, plus Franck Freon and Edwards for the endurance races. Chevrolet's core programme includes, as this year, the Rolex 24, Serbing 12 hours, Le Mans and the Petit Le Mans. This is no news yet on Cadillac's low-key programme for 2001.
