Circuit of the Americas will host the inaugural International Sports Car Weekend, featuring both the American Le Mans Series and the FIA World Endurance Championship. Saturday will feature the inaugural American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón race at Circuit of The Americas.

It's been a long two weeks at the BAR1 shop in Dublin, Ohio and the team has worked feverishly to get both ORECA prototypes ready to race. Team owner Brian Alder is happy to have the nightmare of Baltimore behind him.

"First of all, it's great to see Rusty back in the car after his accident in qualifying at Baltimore. We're all relieved that he's ok.

"The guys back at the shop did a great job rebuilding both cars after the brutal race week in Baltimore. They've been putting in 12-16 hour days for the last week and a half.

"We are very excited to be at the track. We were able to test on Tuesday and both cars ran flawlessly. We were able to set some competitive times, so that starts our week heading in the right direction.

"This is an amazing place. The drivers are all very impressed with the quality of the facility. It's especially a great track for the prototype car. This smooth type of track is what these cars were designed for."

Kyle Marcelli will team up with Chris Cumming in the No. 8 Evident Capital car while Tomy Drissi and Rusty Mitchell will pilot the No. 7 Secret Life of Walter Mitty machine.

The International Sports Car Weekend at Circuit of the Americas is set for September 19-21. Qualifying will be held Friday, September 20, at 2:40 p.m. EDT. The race will be held on Saturday, September 21, at 3:45 p.m. EDT.
