FULLERTON, CA (February 2, 2005) - Yokohama Tire Corporation is pleased to announce the signing of BAM! (British American Motorsports), which will compete with its #43 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR in the 2005 American Le Mans Series (ALMS) and in the 24 Hours of Le Mans on ADVAN racing slicks.
BAM!'s Porsche factory-supported team will have as its primary ALMS drivers Tony Burgess of Toronto, Canada and Porsche factory-driver Mike Rockenfeller of Neuweid, Germany. Joining those two drivers at the 24 Hours of Le Mans will be Leo Hindery, Jr. of New York.
In addition to the Team competing in the ALMS and at Le Mans on ADVAN tires, Yokohama's partnership with BAM! establishes a research and development program for its racing products, and provides a strong marketing platform for its ADVAN line.
