Frank Stippler second in the Norwegian rain

STCC: Frank Stippler has achieved his best-ever result in the Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC) in difficult conditions. On a wet track at Valer (Norway), the Audi driver moved from ninth position on the starting grid to second place. For the first time, Alexander Stehlig -- normally working with Mattias Ekstrom in the DTM -- was Stippler's race engineer. Tommy Kristoffersson scored a point in eighth position, defending champion Thed Bjork did not finish.

Audi R10 TDI causes a stir

Le Mans/ALMS: Goodwood, Norisring, Neckarsulm, New York -- following the second victory of the Audi R10 TDI at the Le Mans 24 Hours, AUDI AG's successful diesel sportscar caused a stir at various unusual locations. Allan McNish drove the Le Mans winning car at Goodwood's "Festival of Speed". Frank Biela completed demonstration laps at the Norisring and at the Audi factory in Neckarsulm. Last but not least, Marco Werner presented the Audi R10 TDI in New York's Central Park on occasion of an American Le Mans Series's event which highlighted technical innovation and alternative fuels.
