Audi celebrate 1-2 victory in ALMS finale

For the fifth time in a row, an Audi R8 has won the Sports Car race at Laguna Seca (California). Johnny Herbert/Pierre Kaffer won the finale of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) ahead of their team-mates JJ Lehto and Marco Werner, who prematurely had clinched the ALMS Drivers' title. Audi had also prematurely won the Manufacturers' title, Team ADT Champion Racing the Teams' title. The Audi R8 remains unbeaten at Laguna Seca and was the outstanding Le Mans prototype also in its fifth season: In 14 races, the Audi customer teams this year scored 13 victories with the Audi R8.

Audi clinch SPEED GT World Challenge title

Audi have successfully defended their SPEED GT World Challenge title: By finishing fourth in the finale of the North American GT series at Laguna Seca, last year's champion Randy Pobst secured the Manufacturers' title for Audi, which Audi have won for a third time. Michael Galati finished the season as best placed Audi driver in second position, missing the Drivers' title by just six points.
