ELKHART LAKE, WI, (Aug. 20, 2011) - Alex Job Racing's (AJR) Bill Sweedler and Brian Wong had an early exit in GTC in today's American Le Mans Series (ALMS) presented by Tequila Patron Time Warner Cable Road Race Showcase at Road America.

AJR's Bill Sweedler, Westport, Connecticut, had the wheel at the start of the four-hour long race. Prior to the green the ALMS field began getting aligned and stacked up before coming up the hill resulting in contact at both ends of the No. 23 Battery Tender/Robert Graham/William Rast/AJR/GTC Porsche. The resulting contact ruptured the radiator at the front of the Battery Tender Porsche causing engine damage and ending the team's day only two-laps into the event.

"We were getting in line for the green flag, someone must have checked-up in front and the whole pack just backed up," Sweedler said. "I was caught in the middle, got hit from behind, which drove me into the car in front and we busted the radiator. I hate it for Brian and the team that our day ended just two-laps into the race."

Team owner, Alex Job, is disappointed with the outcome.

"I am not sure how a big jam up like that can happen on a four-mile track," Job said. "We have had two tough races in a row now counting two weeks ago at Mid-Ohio. We will regroup and look forward to the new event in Baltimore in two-weeks."
