Alex Job Racing to Field Second Porsche GTC at Sebring
Bell, Sweedler and von Moltke to drive

Tavares, FL, (Mar. 5, 2012) - Alex Job Racing (AJR) will field the No. 023 Battery Tender/WilliamRast/Yokohama/PR Newswire/Alex Job Racing Porsche GT3 Cup as their second GTC entry for the season-opening American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron 60th Anniversary Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring fueled by Fresh from Florida to be run on Mar. 17.

Behind the wheel will be Townsend Bell, Bill Sweedler and Dion von Moltke. Bell and Sweedler are running the GTC class in preparation for their debut in the GT Class at the Toyota Long Beach Grand Prix. The 21-year old von Moltke will be starting his 60th professional sports car race in the Sebring classic.

"Unfortunately, our Lotus GT program came together very late in the season and as a driver I did not want to miss being part of the 60th anniversary of the 12 hours at Sebring," Sweedler said. "I'm excited that I will be able to drive with my GT co-driver, Townsend Bell, in our AJR GTC Porsche. We are also getting the season started with our sponsors, Battery Tender, WilliamRast, and Yokohama. Our goal is nothing short of helping Alex Job Racing obtain their eighth Sebring win!"

This is really a trial run for us looking ahead to our debut in the GT Series at Long Beach.

Bell is looking forward to running at the historic track for 12 hours.

"I am looking at this as an opportunity to get to know the team, crew and how they work during race week," Bell said. "Also how Bill and I communicate to our crew chief and what he likes in a race car and what I like. I am looking forward to being a part of the 60th running of the Twelve Hours of Sebring. It is a historic race and running the Porsche in GTC will assure us a lot of track time during the week and in the race. This is really a trial run for us looking ahead to our debut in the GT Series at Long Beach. Don't get me wrong, we are going to win."

For von Moltke, running with AJR and racing in the Sebring 12 hours has finally become reality.

"Alex Job is a legend in this sport, and it is for a reason," von Moltke said. "He has earned the reputation of always running a first class operation, and for consistently winning races and championships. We have been trying to find a way to work together for years, so when this opportunity came up we did not hesitate. And it's not all about racing pedigree and accomplishments - we are fellow South Africans, and this has provided an interesting additional connection. Alex has a passion for winning that is very much like mine - I know I will fit right into the team going into Sebring. I am also thrilled that our partner PRNewswire will be supporting us in this race, not only proudly adding their logo to the car, but also joining us for the race weekend. I really can't wait to get onto the track in the number 23!"

"We are looking forward to Sebring with two really strong GTC Class cars," Job said. "We wanted to get Townsend and Bill those valuable Sebring miles as we prepare for the Lotus Evora's debut at Long Beach. The communication with the team, how AJR works as well as just get comfortable with each other is the goal. Dion is someone whom we have wanted to get in our car for a long time. He is a fast driver and really helps to round-out the entry as one that can win the race."

Alex Job Racing is one of the most successful teams in ALMS history with 42 wins. This record is supported by 48 pole positions and 102 podium finishes. The team has won three championships (GT in 2002, 2003 and 2004) complimented by their two GT class wins at Le Mans. The team also boasts seven Sebring 12-hour victories.

The ALMS GTC category is specific to one of the most popular factory produced racing cars in the world, the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Developed for Porsche's one-make series around the world, the new version of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup is based on the road-going 911 GT3 RS. The power unit featured in the new 911 GT3 Cup is largely identical to the production engine of the 911 GT3 RS with the same output of 450 bhp and the same maximum engine speed of 8,500 rpm.
