Rain, wind and cold did not make for first day on track at Donington Park. For the World Supersport riders, Sam Lowes waited until the very last minutes to enter the track and top the timesheets.
Ninety years ago this coming Sunday 26th May, the first Le Mans 24 Hours got under way. Since then what was called the 24-Hours Endurance Grand Prix has become one of the greatest motor races in the world.
A breathtaking four-wide finish saw Peter Dempsey take the checkered flag of the Indy Lights Firestone Freedom 100 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, nipping Carlos Munoz, Gabby Chavez and Sage Karam by 0.0026 of a second.
Carb Day is the traditional final time that the drivers were able to lay down laps prior to Sunday when they all will aim to land the Indianapolis 500 victory

Media Day at Indianapolis Motor Speedway is during the off-track time prior to the start of the Indy 500 on Sunday. They will return to the track on Carb Day.
