TW Steel Presents the Grand Prix Ball Incorporating the 'Miss TW Steel' Grand Final

Amsterdam, The Netherlands (May 20, 2009) - TW Steel, the Dutch watch brand specializing in oversized watches, announced today that it will be the presenting partner for the Grand Prix Ball, one of the highlights of the Formula One calendar, with this year's event hosted at Stowe House the night before the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, Saturday 20th June.

In addition to the partnership, the Grand Prix Ball will also serve as the backdrop to the grand final of the 'Miss TW Steel' competition with seven stunning national 'Miss TW Steel' winners from around the world in attendance vying for the overall title, $25,000 US, a photo-shoot with a leading lifestyle magazine and the honour of being a TW Steel Brand Ambassador for a year.

Epitomising all the glamour associated with international motorsport, the Grand Prix Ball will be attended by a wide array of celebrities, actors, athletes, musicians and discerning race goers. Guests, on top of witnessing the crowning of 'Miss TW Steel', will enjoy an evening filled with fine dining and a glittering after-show party - with musical entertainment provided by Mica Paris, Kid Creole, Rick Parfitt Jnr. and Eddie & The Robbers (featuring ex-F1 boss and current BBC F1 analyst Eddie Jordan).

"We know from our involvement in last year's Grand Prix Ball what a prestigious evening it is and one which is also a lot of fun to be involved in," commented TW Steel's CEO, Jordy Cobelens. "I'm excited that TW Steel is now the presenting partner of this year's event.

"It made sense for us to utilize such a glamorous occasion as the setting for the final of our 'Miss TW Steel' competition as well. We have seven finalists from across the globe competing on the night. All of them are certainly worthy of becoming TW Steel ambassadors but the judging panel has the arduous task of picking a winner. We'll have fun on the night and we look forward to showcasing TW Steel to an exceptional audience prior to the British Grand Prix."

Guests at the Grand Prix Ball will have the opportunity to enter a competition on the night to win a TW Steel watch as well as the unique chance to join the judging panel of the 'Miss TW Steel' final. All proceeds raised from the competition will go towards the Kidz Foundation in The Netherlands - a charity providing hospice care for children with life limiting conditions and their families. TW Steel will donate all funds raised to a new much needed hospice centre.

The seven 'Miss TW Steel' finalists, who all won their respective national titles as part of TW Steel's on-site activation as 'Official Watch & Timing Partner' to the 2008-09 A1GP World Cup of Motorsport, are: Miss Chantal de Kruijff (18) - 'Miss TW Steel - The Netherlands', Miss Dyan Zou Xiao Qian (21) - 'Miss TW Steel - China', Miss Parveen Brar (25) - 'Miss TW Steel - Malaysia', Miss Carena West (22) - 'Miss TW Steel - Australia-New Zealand', Miss Amy Lombard (23) - 'Miss TW Steel - South Africa', Miss Olivia Ortiz (22) - 'Miss TW Steel - Portugal' and finally Miss Kimberley Cooper (19) - 'Miss TW Steel - UK'.
