A1 Team Malaysia has strengthened its roster of sponsors for the team with the addition of the Mayflower Travel Group. The Mayflower branding will be given prominent positioning on the rear wing of the A1 Team Malaysian car.

Mayflower is the preferred travel partner for a growing list of national, foreign and multi-national companies. Mayflower together with American Express operate a joint venture company, Mayflower American Express Travel Services, providing corporate travel management services and is the official travel services provider to A1 Team Malaysia.

As the pioneer in the Malaysian car rental industry, Mayflower has invested in excess of RM30 million over the last three (3) years and have one of the largest fleet of vehicles in the country, totalling over 1000 vehicles of various makes and models. Competitive pricing, a strict maintenance schedule and a 24-hour emergency assistance hotline keep Mayflower Car Rental at the forefront of the industry.

Being the first to introduce luxurious air-conditioned coaches in Malaysia , Mayflower is among the largest fleet owners for ground transportation. Totalling more than 50 vehicles, they comprised of tour vans, limousines, and medium and large luxurious coaches of various seating capacities.

Jack Cunningham, A1 Team Malaysia Chief Executive, says of the deal, "We're pleased that Mayflower has taken the step to be a commercial sponsor. We've been working with the company since the first season of A1GP, with Mayflower as our travel service provider and this relationship has now been extended to a broader platform which includes car branding. We're looking forward to supporting the team at its home race this weekend and through the season as they travel across the globe. This is in line with our export strategy that has reached out to currently 64 countries."

A1 Team Malaysia will take to the Sepang track this weekend for the third round of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport 2007/2008.
