A1 Team Malaysia has added a new commercial partner for the remainder of the second season of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport, with support from Astro, the leading multi-channel TV operator in Malaysia.

The Malaysian team is currently placed in 3rd position in the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport, and celebrated a double victory in the last race at Brno, Czech Republic. Astro recognises this achievement and is confident that the commercial association with A1 Team Malaysia will be a reinforcement of its aspiration to help cultivate a national sporting culture and nurturing local talents.

Jack Cunningham, Chief Executive, A1 Team Malaysia, said of the tie-up, "We're delighted to welcome Astro as a partner of A1 Team Malaysia. We look forward to showcasing the Astro brand around the world."

"Astro is proud to be a commercial partner of A1 Team Malaysia and we will continue to exercise our corporate responsibility by supporting these causes in the name of national sports excellence", said Mohamed Adam Wee Abdullah, Director of Branding & Advertising, Astro.
