Thursday 28 September 2006 The FFSA and A1 Team France are teaming up for the 2006-07 A1 Grand Prix season to give young French drivers the opportunity to shine. A1 Team France will give young French stars the chance to show their abilities during free practice on Fridays of A1 Grand Prix weekends.
Under the leadership of Jean-Paul Driot, A1 Team France has signed Nicolas Lapierre and Loic Duval, two FFSA drivers for the first couple of rounds of the new A1 Grand Prix season.
Jacques Regis, President, FFSA: "The FFSA is really excited about this collaboration. It will give our young hopefuls the opportunity to keep driving throughout the winter and gain even more valuable experience."
Jean-Paul Driot, team principal, A1 Team France: "I'd like to thank Jacques Regis and the FFSA for their support of our team. The new rules for this season enable us to evaluate young stars in our car during Friday practice. I had the privilege o choosing tow FFSA drivers to represent the team last year in Lapierre and Premat. The new season will be a tough challenge, but A1 Team France will have a wealth of talented drivers at its disposal. We can't wait for the first race at Zandvoort this weekend."
