Following the A1GP Junior Team Portugal project Antonio Felix da Costa will join, as a rookie driver, the race winner Filipe Albuquerque in the next round of the A1GP, which will take place in Taupo, new Zealand, on the next weekend.

Antonio Felix da Costa commented before boarding to Oceânia: "I am very proud to have been chosen by A1 Team Portugal to represeant my country joining Filipe to New Zealand. It is also very important for my career as a professional racing driver to have the chance, with only 17 years old, to drive a highly sophisticated car produced by Ferrari, with 600hp and only 720kg of wieght."

Antonio's presence in New Zealand marks an important step in his promissing career, not only because of the high visibility that this championship generates around the world, but also by having the chance to learn from a team of highly professional and motivated staff. A1 Team Portugal occupies the second place on the championship.

Together with all the rookie drivers from 24 countries, Antonio Felix da Costa will have 2 sessions of 30 minutes each to prepare the portuguese A1 car set up to his team mate, the highly reputated Filipe Albuquerque.
