A1GP: Salaquarda wants to repeat last year

The A1GP 2007/2008 is coming to its end and Chinese Shanghai hosts the penultimate event of the season. The state-of-the-art track saw two successes of the Czech team in the previous two seasons. Tomas Enge won the Feature race in the spring 2006 and one year later Filip Salaquarda managed to score points in his A1GP debut. The Czech team will count once again on his ability.

Twenty four years old drive has a rich single-seater experience, especially F3, and Antonin Charouz has called him for the last part of the A1GP season. He fought in Mexico and is doing also Shanghai and the last event at the famous Brand Hatch track.

Filip Salaquarda: "I am looking forward to Shanghai. I liked the track last year when I drove there for the first time. It is quick and interesting for every driver. Definitely for me. I definitely feel that I have bigger chances than in my return race to the A1GP in Mexico. However, we all know how difficult the A1GP is. The most important part of the weekend is qualifying. If it is good then I believe I can repeat point finish from last year. I did not only physical preparation between Mexico and China but I also tested with the I.S.R. team at Estoril for the upcoming International Formula Master season. I wil enter this championship after the end of the A1GP season."

Antonin Charouz, Seat holder: "We are taking the last two races in China and England quite easy, just to finish the season and testing of Filip Salaquarda. I am interested in the 2008/2009 season when everyone should start from zero after entry of Ferrari as a supplier. Of course, we have not given up and Filip will do his best to score a good result and I wish him good luck."
