Piscopo enjoys positive weekend at Sepang prepares for Ferrari F1 test
Edoardo Piscopo started with a strong performance his late-November tour-de-Force. The Italian driver entered the 5th and 6th round of the 2008 A1 Grand Prix of Nations with Team Italy, managing to stay in the top-10 with ease. After taking off from 5th place, Piscopo ended the race in 7th, scoring two valuable points despite the bad luck suffered in the pit-stop lottery. On Race 2, Piscopo climbed back after a tough qualifying session, but had to surrender to an issue to one of his hands, losing ground in the closing stages. Right after coming back from Malaysia, Edoardo will fly to Maranello to have his seat fitted for Thursday's Formula One test and, after his stint, he'll fly towards Valencia to enter the collective World Series Renault Tests with Draco.
"We continued to improve at Sepang, making some more steps towards the top. On Race 1 we've been a little penalized by an unlucky pit-stop, and we could have achieved even more. On Race 2 the car felt great, even better than in qualifying. Unfortunately, I started suffering from a sore hand when I was fighting with Bamber. Without that problem, I'm sure I could have kept the same pace until the end. I won't be stopping though: I'll be at Ferrari's today, to have a fitting ready, and then, after just one day of rest, I'll make my way around Fiorano in a F2008 racecar. After the test, I'll fly to Valencia, for the World Series' collective sessions..."
