FREE ADMISSION TO BRANDS HATCH SEASON LAUNCH

Williams JPH1 Formula Two car officially unveiled to the public

Brands Hatch will host its annual season launch on Monday 2 March, and spectators are invited to the Kent circuit to watch some of the vehicles that will be racing in 2009 completely free of charge.

This year's launch will incorporate a significant moment in the history of motor racing: the official unveiling of the new FIA Formula Two Championship car. The Williams F1-designed vehicle will be revealed to the public for the first time and will also perform some demonstration laps around the Brands Hatch Indy circuit.

Drivers and riders from major championships visiting Brands Hatch in 2009 will also be present at the event including triple World Touring Car champion Andy Priaulx, who will be performing some high-speed laps in his BMW 3-Series. British Touring Car driver Tom Chilton will be taking to the track in his new Ford Focus ST, whilst his younger brother Max will be demonstrating Carlin Motorsport's 2009 British Formula 3 car.

Former MotoGP rider Sylvain Guintoli will be making an appearance after signing for Crescent Suzuki in the British Superbike Championship, along with drivers from the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport. There will also be parade laps from historic racing vehicles and a demonstration from a five-tonne racing truck.

The day begins at 10:30am with the unveiling of the new Formula Two car, and a more detailed schedule will be posted on the Brands Hatch website shortly. As well as a full programme of circuit action, the Kentagon restaurant will be open for snacks and refreshments.
