Erik Janis again improved
Nineteen years old driver again learned about the Czech car. The focus was mainly on the right braking and concentration during one quick lap. Erik Janis admitted afterwards that he had been feeling better in the car but he would need bigger mileage to be fully comfortable with the car. Free practices at Zandvoort should allow further improvements.
Erik will race in the FIA GT3 championship at Brno before leaving to the Netherlands. He will share Lamborghini Gallardo of S-Berg team with Jaromir Jirik. They will compete in two one hour races. They were fighting in the sharp end in previous rounds and they hope for top step on the podium.
Erik Janiš: "I am pleased that I improved again but it could have been better. I had just one set of new tyres and the session was red flagged when I was doing my quick lap. The tyres were not that good afterwards. Once again I was learning all the things during the day. It is not easy to master everything during just two days of testing but hopefully I have done reasonable steps forward. My focus today was on braking it was another important lesson. I also tried to concentrate on just one quick lap which is very important in the A1GP. We practiced pitstops like yesterday. They were good. Next step is the season opener at Zandvoort next week. However, I will race in the FIA GT3 championship at Brno this weekend. I will do two one hour races with Lamborghini Gallardo. We mixed up with the quickest in previous rounds. I will share the car with Jaromir Jirik again and I belive that we will be able to fight for win."
